CAMUS Cognacs are honoured and proud to present the Legion of Honor Private Collection celebrating the highest French distinction, created in 1802 by the First Consul Napoleon Bonaparte.
Mobilising the expertise of several art crafts, Les Ateliers Camus have designed an elegant box in which the Legion of Honor Private Collection. In the purest tradition of the art of lacquerware, which originated in China and Japan 5,000 years ago, the black box is protected by a red leather sheath dress, embossed with the interlacing of oak and laurel leaves, the emblem of the Grand Chancery of the Legion of Honor.
The bottle is distinguished by its refined and harmonious lines, inspired by the bottle from which the most singular eaux-de-vie are taken during the distillation process. The emblem of the Grand Chancery, cast in platinum, is inscribed on the body, while the neck is trimmed with a precious red braid.
Each purchaser of the Legion of Honor Private Collection will have the opportunity to have his or her first name and surname inscribed on the leather scabbard, as well as, for members of the Legion of Honor, the rank or dignity and the date of appointment, promotion or elevation.
With the Legion of Honor Private Collection, CAMUS Cognacs intends to support the projects of the Grand Chancery of the Legion of Honor. Cyril CAMUS decided to donate 25% of the income from the sales of the Legion of Honor Private Collection to support the heritage restoration projects of the Grand Chancery.

Edmond Camus is made a knight of the Legion of Honor. This prestigious decoration rewards his commitment to serving the family business, the world of cognac, French exports and his fellow citizens - he founded a charity office in Chateaubernard of which he is mayor.
1982
Michel Camus is decorated for his talents as a businessman and his defense of the interests of the cognac industry. Thanks to his determination and creativity, Camus has become an international company.
2017
Jean-Pierre Raffarrin presents the badge of Knight of the Legion of Honor to Cyril Camus whom he describes as "the most Chinese of the Charentais", a way of saluting the strategic choices and the strong growth made by the man who embodies the fifth generation in head of the family business.
2022
Camus mobilized the know-how of several artistic professions within the Ateliers Camus to create the cognac from the Legion of Honor Private Collection. In 2022 it begins at the Palais De la Légion D'honneur.
Arranged in a red leather sheath embossed with the interlacing of oak and laurel leaves, emblems of the Grand Chancellery of the Legion of Honor, the black lacquered box opens onto an iconic bottle.
