CAMUS COGNAC ILE DE RE DOUBLE MATURED
Authentic style of Île de Ré, with a truly distinctive double maturation. Like no other. Exploring the richness of Île de Ré vineyards, CAMUS has worked to develop a different aromatic expression of this genuine terroir. Distilled on the lees to enhance the original flavors of the eaux-de-vie from which it is produced, CAMUS Ile de Ré Double Matured is the result of a unique ageing process. It is first matured on Île de Ré in a damp cellar, after which the eaux-de-vie are transported to Cognac and placed in very old barrels which have been toasted specifically to give the cognac structure and a smoky flavor. The combination of these two ageing stages creates a sophisticated, original Cognac.
Naturally iodine-rich, with a lively, dry palate, CAMUS ILE DE RE FINE ISLAND COGNACS respect as faithfully as possible the extraordinary personality of the island’s eaux-de-vie, while offering the outstanding smoothness and fruity aromas of fine cognacs.
